Verdict Privacy Policy
Effective August 2, 2026
Verdict is an app built for Root that helps community administrators manage onboarding and approval flows for new members. This privacy policy explains what information the app receives, how it is used, and how it is handled.
Scope
This policy applies to the Verdict app and any related services published under the same app name. Verdict is an independent personal project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Root. Your Root account itself is managed by the Root platform and is covered by Root's own privacy policy.
Information Received
Verdict receives basic platform context from Root that is necessary for the app to function, such as your Root user ID, display name or nickname, profile picture, and online status. The app also receives content you create inside the app, including onboarding questionnaire responses, review decisions, and any other data you submit while using Verdict.
Verdict does not request your email address, phone number, home address, location, or device permissions. The app does not collect personal information beyond what Root provides and what you actively submit while using the app.
How Information Is Used
Information is used solely to provide the app's features, such as displaying submissions, routing approvals or denials, assigning roles, and sending notifications in the community as designed. Verdict does not use your information for advertising, analytics, profiling, or sale to third parties.
Storage Location
Verdict data is stored within the Root platform infrastructure used to run the app. The app does not operate independent external servers or a separate database outside of the Root environment.
Third-Party Sharing
Verdict does not share your information with third parties. Content you submit within the app may be visible to other members of the community where the app is installed, because that is part of the app's intended functionality.
Data Retention
Data is retained for as long as your content, account, or community setup remains active in Root's systems. If you want specific content removed, you can contact the developer using the contact details below.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections through Root's infrastructure. Verdict does not add an additional storage or transmission layer outside of what Root itself provides.
Children's Privacy
Verdict is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 16, consistent with Root's minimum age requirements.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
